Spanning the Chernaya Rechka (Black River), the Karelsky (Karelian) Bridge is aligned with Karelsky Lane and Matrosa Zheleznyaka Street in Primorsky District.

The bridge connects the Komendantsky Aerodrome and Novaya Derevnya districts. The bridge crossing is 33 meters long and 13 meters wide. It is a single-span reinforced concrete bridge.

History

A bridge was needed in connection with a project for the construction of the Kolomyazhsky overpass above the Sestroretskaya line of the Oktyabrskaya Railway and the Chernaya Rechka.

The construction work began in 2010 and was completed in 2012. The bridge was named “Karelsky” (Karelian) after the Karelian Isthmus, an area in the vicinity of St. Petersburg.
