The bridge spans the Karasta River aligning with Dvortsovy Avenue in the historic part of Lomonosov. It is 8.4 meters long and 38.3 meters wide.
History
A stone bridge across the Karasta River was built in the 17th century. In 1996–1997, the crossing was overhauled.
Until 2009, the bridge had no name. On December 10, 2009, it was named “Slobodsky Bridge” which refers to Palace Sloboda (a settlement inhabited by people free of the power of boyars) which was located here in the 17th century.

Lying on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland, Lomonosov was founded as a country residence of Alexander Menshikov in 1710. It features the Oranienbaum palace and park ensemble dating from the 18th century.
