Characteristics

The Sheremetevsky Bridge for pedestrians spans the Dachnaya River in the historic district Ulyanka in Kirovsky District of St. Petersburg between the streets Tankista Khrustitskogo and Lyoni Golikova. It is a 36.4-meter-long and 2-meter-wide single-span metal bridge.

History

The bridge was built to the design of Lenmostostroy Trust’s engineer I.V. Nikitin in 1994. For a long period of time, the bridge had no name. In January 2021, the bridge was named Sheremetevsky after the estate of the Sheremetev family which was previously located in the area.

The Dachnaya River previously issued from the Ligovsky Canal and flowed into the Krasnenkaya River. With the development of the south-western part of the city, the river turned into a chain of ponds.
